1996 DeVille Concours PO716 & PO717 codes
Hey All,
I own a 1996 Caddy DeVille Concours with the 4.6L NorthStar and about 110,000 miles on it. My SES light came on the other day. OBD Codes PO716 & PO717 ( Input/Turbine Speed Sensor A CKT Range/Perf & Input/Turbine Speed Sensor A Circuit No Signal). I cleared codes, but they appeared again a few miles down the road. The car runs like a top, but I need to have it inspected soon and it will fail NYS inspection if the SES light comes on while it's being inspected. Is there a way to by-pass these OBD codes or sensors to stop SES light. I was told replacing the sensor(s) requires pulling the tranny. I really don't want to do that. Any help is appreciated |

No way to bypass this, but I believe the trans does not have to come out to do this, check this out further.
