Caliper Guide Pins

1999 Silveradro 2500 4 wheel disc brakes
I'm having problems with the caliper pins gumming up i have tried sil-glyde grease that seemed to gum up then i've been using the crc synthetic brake grease and that also seems to gum up. I don't know if i'm not using enough on the pins or what. I coated them pretty heavy with grease then a few weeks later the brake seems to drag so i check the pins and the grease is all dried up. What are you guys out there using on your stuff?

the cal pins and the bore needs to be cleaned . using a small 1/4in round pipe wire brush and some spray lube clean out these holes.

file the pin on one side so lube grease will stay with the pin on inserting...I use antiseize high temp lubricant..also replace any rubber seals the seals must be in good condition ..

If the calipers are binding the heat will dry out this libe and you should check for this ...these calipers are not the best performing ..especially in the rust belt..

the pins should slide easy into the bore after cleaning ..
