Unhappy 2003 F150 2WD Reg. Cab SWB 4.2L Auto.

Actually I have two questions. First of all, it looks as if my overdrive override button is not working. Press it and no light comes on so I'm assuming I'm in overdrive all the time. Any help with locating the problem would be great. Next is the fluid leaks from under the truck. I haven't raised it up yet but from what I can see there's fluid dripping off the steering rack, more from the oil pan area, and again more from the transmission pan. I guess the joke is on me---I just bought this last week, has 86,000 miles, looks supergreat, thinking I was getting a pretty nice truck. I did a quick check when I test drove it and saw nothing on the ground while running or stopped. Now I see this every time I run it. Where do I really start? Also, this is my first Ford pickup. I've had toyotas, mitsubishi's, and Chevys. Never had so many things wrong from the first week!! Any help and a lead to a free online repair guide would be nice if there is one available.
