350z or Lancer Evo

Hello, I am 15 years old and I am looking at two cars to buy in a year or so. Money really isn't an issue so I'm looking at the 2003-present Nissan 350z and the 2003-Present Mitsubishi Lancer EVO. I have the ups and downs for both but I can't decide so I'm looking for other people's opinions. Ok so my main problem with the 350z is that it only has two seats and I might need more than that, but if I'm going somewhere I could get one of my other friends to drive as well. The good thing about the 350z is that it looks nice and is very reliable. The problem with the Evo is that I heard it isn't very reliable, But i do like that it has 4 doors and is all wheel drive.

Which one would you recommend and why?

P.S.- Don't post stuff about insurance and stuff because I will have enough money for it all.

THanks.

Re: 350z or Lancer Evo

I could never suggest either of those cars for a new driver. But if I had to suggest either one or the other I'd have to go with the EVO.

For a first driver both cars are twords the bottom of my suggestion list. I'd say buy something cheaper that you wont be afraid to put a few dents in. Learn how to drive responsibly and then spend more money on a better car.

If money is not an issue for you...I would recommend the Audi S4. It is an All-wheel-drive with 4 Doors. It has a supercharged engine, better than EVO's turbocharged, and of course it's a smoother and faster ride at 325 Torque (EVO has 300 Torque). The Audi S4 is known as THE SILKEN ROCKET... Read reviews and you'll like the S4 far more than the EVO.

Lol, when I said money isn't an issue I meant i can afford the two cars above. I do have a limit but I can afford both of them.

Which of those two would you recommend? I like the 350z more but I don't know

Well, if I may ask, how much is your budget? I may help you find a used Audi S4 in excellent condition...

Ok. There are Audi S4 used vehicles within your budget. But in your area I see only lots of 2001's in the listings.

Here are some reviews about the 2001 Audi S4 courtesy of edmunds, to make you feel a little confident about checking it out.

2001 Audi S4 Quattro AWD 4dr Sedan (2.7L 6cyl Turbo 5A)

"I was looking at replacing my 3 series BMW when a dealer friend suggested that I would get more car for my money with an Audi S4. Boy, was he correct. I've driven the car almost daily for over 5 years and it is always fun to get behind the wheel. I've had no major repairs and it's always a kick when I engage the turbos. I've taken long trips and the seating is comfortable and the trunk space very adequate."

another one,

"After a long search I have finally found an Audi S4. So far all I can say is wow! Compared to my BMW M3, the Audi is so refined. The clutch and shifter work well. The brakes are fantastic. Overall styling and finish are top notch. The Bose sound system is tight. The xenon lights are great at night and so is the moonroof. I am so impressed every time I drive the car"

I saw 2004 models in the listings but they are in NY. I don't think you want to drive that far. But anyways, don't forget to have your mechanic inspect the car (not the seller's mechanic to be sure). Longer mileage doesn't mean the car is a bad ride as long as the previous owner took care of it. Have the VIN checked at the DMV to know the car's history and the status of the title.
