Car decisions... MR2 or RX7

Hi folks, im going to be buying a new car shortly. Well ive been dreaming and dreaming, and i want either an NSX, M3, or Supra TT. Well i odnt have the money, lol. So im probably gonna settle for either an MR2 Turbo, or 93+ RX7. If i find either, i want them to have new engines in. Ive heard reliablitly of the RX7 over 100K is pretty iffy, and 3SGTEs are pretty expensive. So what do you think? any other suggestions?

You can drop a Toyota V6 into the MR2 Turbo pretty easily. If you read Sport Compact Car , check out the issue from last month or two months ago. It's a recent issue, and it covers the swap in great detail. If you can't find it, let me know and I should be able to scan and mail it to you. Also, low-mileage FD3S's shouldn't be too hard to find, but might be a little pricey.

Buy an RX7 with from what u can tell, a pretty good engine, and get it rebuilt right away. When I blew mine it cost me $3000 AUS to get it rebuilt with all new seals, ported and dowelled. That is around $1700US. (and if u dont want to, dont get it ported or dowelled)
Brand new engine, then all u gotta do is run it in. But if u have never had a rotary before, all u need to know is look after it and it will run forever.
Warm it up before u thrash it and get it seviced every 5000kms or less (dunno what that is in miles).

As long as it is serviced regularly it will last you just as long as any other car. BTW, a built RX-7 is quite a sight to behold....

there's an 11.5 second gunmetal rx-7 'round here and it's the awesomest beast ever. it shoots flames out the exhaust when he downshifts and romps on it. i'd go with the rx-7. even if you went N/A there are a lot of mods for good power. wankel rules

RX7 for cheap thrills while it still is lasting

MR2 for reliablilty and cheap thrills and if you can get a 3SGTE it is worth every last penny
