VR4 Engine Swap

I'm looking into swaping my 2.0 DOHC engine with a VR4 engine. Will it fit? Are there any other mods I would have to do to make it work? Like make it an AWD, standard, or ect? THANKS!

If you mean the 3000GT - it won't fit. If you mean the Gallant - why would you?

And what would be wrong with using a VR4 from a Galant?

Anything is possiable with enough money. IMO it would not be worth it because of the problems your going to have just to make it a AWD.

The galant VR-4 shares the same 4g63 motor as the T/E/L. The difference is the battery is located differently, the I/C sits in the front of the car, & I believe the TB is different as well. I'm not positive about the TB though. The motor will fit w/o any other fabrication. This is only true if you're removing your 2g 7-bolt turbo motor. Other wise the 420a swap will be hell.

You can not fit a 3kGT VR4 motor in your eclipse. Not even with money, LOTS OF IT!!! :aug2: If you did, you'd have a purpose built dragster on your hands. Defeats the purpose huh?
