06 impala drivers side window squeal?

In my 06 impala with power windows, when I open the drivers side window, it makes a very loud and high pitched squeal that is extrelemy annoying and somewhat alarming. What could the source of this problem be? If you need more info just ask, I'm sorry this is such a bad response, but if you have any idea what this is, could you help me out? thanks. I think it has a 5 year warranty, so I have a little time left if it isn't easy. If I have to take the door panel off or something complicated like that, could you possibly just tell me the problem so I can make sure the repair shop is on the right track? Thanks again!

My mom had the same problem on her 06 impala everytime she would let her window down it would squeal, until one day she rolled it down then the whole window almost fell in the door but we stopped it an used pliers to hold the window up. After that she took it to a mechanic and they took the whole door panel off and changed modem inside. Hopefully this will help you.

If the car is under warranty take it back.

Let them fuss with it. If not take the door apart and use white lithium grease in the channels that the window rides in. Make sure that the Delran plastic guides are OK.

If you have a bumper to bumper warranty that you bought let them do it. A new window regulator is mucho expensive and a pain to install.
