Blazer fuel pump

My 96 Blazer is having some intermittent fuel pump issues. Normally when I turn the key on I can hear the fuel pump for a few seconds and the vehicle starts right up. There has been a few times when I can't hear the pump and of course the vehicle won't start. When this happens I keep turning the ignition on and off until I hear the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and filter around 20k ago. At that time the fuel pump died right away, no intermittent stuff.

Re: Blazer fuel pump

What brand fuel pump did you install? Did you replace the electrical connector? When the pump does not run, have you tried rapping on the bottom of the fuel tank? If the motor starts up, it's probably a poor connection either at the module connector or at the pump inside the module, or a faulty motor.
