How reliable are Eclipse's? Daily driver?

Hey, I'm searching for a little sporty car for around $6K, and I've found that a 2001-2003 Eclipse is right in that range, and there are quite a few of them to be had. I was just wondering everyone's opinion on them. How are they to maintain, how reliable are they, and how long will they last? I like doing a lot of work myself, but on slightly newer cars (2003 is slightly newer to me), they get a little hairy to work on. So I'm just curious if these can be reliable daily drivers.

These are not sporty at all.
Would you consider a stratus/sebring to be "sporty" cause that what this is. Just a different name and body panels.

Lol no I wouldn't. Thanks that's great info. No eclipse then. I'm actually looking at early to mid nineties 300zx's, they're just not as easy to cone by in a 2+2, or in good condition.
