Another Aston Martin DBS

Unusally for me I finished a kit in only a week and half (a year and a half is more the norm).
The aston is an excellent kit and I had only a couple of minor issues, the bonnet doesn't quite fit flush and the mold seperation lines reappeared after the last coat of varnish. Also I damaged the wheel decals and had to ditch them.
All in all a fun kit to build.

Stuart.

Nice color combo. You have a bit of orange peel in the clearcoat...maybe polish it out next time? Your mold lines did reappear with a vengeance!

Nice build. It's a shame about the mould lines re-appearing. Could do with a polish to bring out such a cleanly built model.

Yeah I primed with Halfords white plastic primer, the mold lines were not evident after about a week of drying. Somehow the clear caused them to reappear, by then the options were to live with it or strip the paint and start again.
The orange peel looks far worse in the pictures than it actually is, so as I was living with the mold lines I figured I could live with that aswell.
Stuart.

Good job I really like it, specially the color. Very neatly done.

its due to the concentration in that area of mould release, washing before priming will help ( wont totally eliminate it though- just diminishes it )
