zc swap question
I have a 88 crx dx if i get a zc dohc i dont need to replace my axles or hubs? do i? Just motor ecu mpfi swap and thats it??????????

Depends on what tranny you wanna use. The only way you would have to change axles and shit is if you also get a ZC tranny. If you stick with your dx tranny or upgrade to an Si tranny (also should be from an 88) you can use your stock axles/hubs. But yea, all you need to do to complete your swap is the normal stuff like timing belt, water pump, etc., drop that bitch in, wire it up for mpfi and your set.

hey he could upgrade to any tranny he wanted from 89+ as long as he changed his clutch and flywheel the 89 clutch is the same size as the 88 just different # of splines the 90-00 civic flywheel's are all the same along with clutches so u could use a 90-91 si tranny as long as the flywheel and clutch match that year BTW dont use the DX tranny with the DOHC ZC the input shaft bearing and the FD bearings are not made for the extra HP i know this from exp... i blew out my DX tranny with a DOHC ZC so use the Si tranny or the ZC tranny u will be MUCH happier in the long run it just plain works better
