Can I wax my wheel covers?
Hi all.
I'm pretty sure my stock wheel cover's are aluminum... But I don't know anything about cleaning aluminum -- I heard you have to be careful what you put on aluminum. Should I just clean them with soap and water? I'd like to give them a protective/shiny coat if possible; can I just use normal car body wax on them? Thanks.

If you have rims that are open to the front rotors best use the cloth wet with silicone... in the rust belt the silicone has kept the metal looking good from the road chemicals....where you live this is not a factor...but you got all that dust .. |

Re: Can I wax my wheel covers?
Cool, thanks for the info; I'll try it out.
I just wanted to take good care of them because they still look pretty good for being 25 years old; plus I think it would be hard to find good ones in a junk yard -- the only alternative would be ebay or the like and probably cost a bit of $$
