Going blown

I've been researching getting a supercharger and some other power additions in the near future. I'm not sure on a few things, though. I'm hoping to attain about 500FWHP and as much torque as possible (especially in the lower range for daily driving).

I debated whether I wanted to upgrade to the 5.4L block, but decided against it for clearance reasons. I'm also sticking to 2v heads also for clearance considerations and price (i.e. cams).

Would I be okay going with this cast iron block?
4.6 Short Block - Road Warrior 1000HP 2V & 4V - Cast Iron Block

It says it's good up to 1000HP with the forged internals for $100 more than the budget block (550HP).

I'm going to mate the short block up to Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads.

I will also install some long tube headers, either Kooks or from a local place called Stainless Works which is fabricating them to fit for a few others I know.

Some questions I have:
  • What are the compression ratio and boost pressure I will need to attain my goal.
  • The TFS heads come in 38 and 44cc chamber sizes. With the required boost/compression in mind, which size do I want, and how much of a dish would I need in the pistons?
  • Will running the boost needed for this be unsafe? For example, will this engine be pretty reliable as a daily driver and weekend dragster or is this going to need alot of extra maintenance over an NA engine?
By the way this will be getting dropped into a 2006 Grand Marquis. I'm posting in the Mustang forum because I doubt anyone in the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis forums will have any input.
