Solid First Car Choice?

Hey everyone, I decided to join this forum because it seems as though it is the only active forum for cars, .

I am in hunt of my first car and found a 2008 Mazda6 i Sport VE with 50k miles listed at the internet price (extremely lower than in house) for a little more than $7k.

I was wondering if Mazda6's had reliability issues and what the insurance rates would look like. I'm trying to keep the final cost after insurance and taxes under $10k so feel free to suggest another car if this doesn't fit the bill. I'm looking to get a car to commute to and from school and work mainly. I like luxury and would like a "fun" car to drive, rather than a camry. I'd also like to buy a car under 70k miles and run it over 200k...maybe?

Thanks in advance for all the reply's!

Dan

p.s. I also live in Boston, so AWD would be spectacular, but not a must considering my price-point.
