2001 Chevy Impala

Ok i have a 2001 impala that has about 135000 miles and I am having an issue with diagnosing a noise problem.
first of all i was getting a bearing type noise from the passenger (right) front end. Figured it was a wheel bearings , so i replaced the wheel bearings , then it deadened the noise. Then i replaced the cv shafts, no difference, did the brakes all the way around, no difference. Wheel bearing started to go bad again and replaced it again , and the noise deadened again. Then my transmission went out and put the new transmission in it, and then replaced the tires in the front , but still have a bad bearing type of noise. Anyone have any ideas of what else it may be.

they were both done within a week of each other

If you run the car ft wheels off the ground, safely of course, can hear a noise in either wheel?

the best and cheapest thing to do is call GM and complain. Their number is 1-800-222-1020. These transmissions are known to be defective but have yet to be recalled. I called today 6-21-2010.

GM was useless

I got the transgo sk4t65e kit and used the accumulator springs and spacers, easy to do, cost about $65 for kit, and takes about an hour. drop pan, unbolt accumulator housing install springs, reinstall. works great
