Smile 90 Eldo losing power

I just had a neat problem with my 90 Eldo. When I stepped on the gas, it would hesitate or try to stall. Pumping the gas pedal got it to move but sometime when I hit the brakes, they felt like they were not power brakes(for those who remember when power brakes were not the norm).

I replaced the plugs, wires, cap and coil but that didn't fix the problem.

Finally, I checked the injectors and found three bad. I replaced them along with the fuel filter and the car is back to normal again.

Funny how those bad injectors make the car behave like there are bad intake valves. I once warped one or two in a 6 cyl Gremlin I owned. The radiator hose sprung a leak and it overheated before I could stop the engine. Lost a cyl or two on a 6 cyl engine. Whew!
