odometer racks upto many miles-97 corolla
racks up more miles then it should,25 miles to workis correct,one day it will show 35 the next day is 41.Seems to be 3 mph over according to my gps. can anyone help?

Tires too short?
Your car should have 185/65R14 tires on it. The shorter the tire is, the more revolutions it will turn per measured mile, causing the odometer to show more miles than the car actually traveled. What size tires are on the car?
