oh good it worked, N/M, Im not too hip with these computers like you kids these days.
anyway...cut a piece of card board er sumthin to fit/match/ look like you want it in your trunk space. use that as a guide to cut the wood from. NOTE: getting the cardboard cut out of your trunk is a real pain in the arse. I suggest getting some dowl rods across the trunk to support the cardboard while you draw out the edges. check and re-check the fit in the trunk. also, bear in mind the rear window wiper assembly, i got all done only to find that the assembly hit the new lid, had to cut the lid more after I was finished. once you get your measured piece, cover it in fiberglass for strength and smoothness. won't need much. just enough for a glaze. paint it. then, the first image, put some dowl rods on the bottom to fit the lid into the factory hinge spots. now of coarse you can always alter the thing. middle hinges, for a split lid. I didnt put cords on it to lift it with the hatch, dont want it to open. I always have a lot of crap in mar car for work, school, and DJ'ing, so I prefer the shelf idea to the hinged trunk cover. I suggest using fiberglass. I used wood in this application, and you can see how the bottom has gotten pretty busted up. Hope this helps. Im sure that you could order a cargo cover fromt he dealership, dont know how expensive it would be, but... -wheel

The OEM trunk lids are very expensive (for an interior trim piece!). On eBay you can see them go for upwards of $150. Now take this price and multiply it by what a dealer would rip you off for and you have a small idea of how rare (or sought out) these are. Plus they aren't produced anymore (according to my neighborhood dealers, I/They could be wrong) so you'd have to find some dealer that would still have one stocked. Try your luck with making your own. At least you know you are making it to your standards...you'll feel better when it looks a hell of alot better than stock too!
