90 tbird door ajar light stays on but interior lights go out

my door ajar light stays on but my interior lights go out when the door closes??ANY IDEAS?

There is a separate switch inside the doors for the door ajar circuit. This circuit has nothing to do with the interior lights going out when the door is closed. You will have to remove the door panel to get to the switch which is near the latch. The switch grounds the circuit so either the switch is stuck closed or the wire going to it is shorted to ground somewhere. If you had bought that factory electrical manual I told you about a few months ago you would have known this and had it fixed already! Like I said before, this manual is worth buying!
