83 Isuzu I-Mark Desiel - alernator I have

I have an 1983 I-Mark with desiel engine. I started to take off the alternator and there were oil hoses going to the back of it. I couldn't figure out how to get it off and what exactly these oil pumps were coming from the back of an alternator and one emptied into the oil pan the other had high pressure connectors on it.
Does anybody have an explaination for whats going on there, How do you remove the alternator? I'd appreciate it. Thanks, 72rattles
