vibration when cold?
trying to get some ideas why my car might shake when it's first started. particularly in the morning, worse when colder rather than warmer. vibration varies with RPMs, certain RPM range bad vibration others no vibration. as car warms vibration decreases; vibration is eliminated while accelerating, returns when I clutch or release accelerater. usually goes away after about 15 minutes when car warms and doesn't repeat until following morning when car has been sitting for 8-10 hours. motor mount? suspension? - i know my passenger front took a beating on a couple pot holes over the winter.
2007 Honda Civic EX Coupe ~65K miles Have an appt with a mechanic tomorrow morning but hopeful to get some ideas beforehand. |

Re: vibration when cold?
Follow up thought...I only hear/experience vibration on inside of car. When I let it idle and get out it sounds basically normal.

Re: vibration when cold?
Took it to two shops and a Honda dealership but noone identified what the root problem was. Turns out my situation changed and it was a good time for a new car - so ended up trading it in.
