"Performance Shift" button won't stay down

WTF. As soon as I fix two things in my car another thing goes wrong. Now my "Performance Shift" button won't stay down. Anybody know why? I can hold it down and the DIC reads "Performance Shift" and it engages but the button itself won't stay down. Is there an easy way to replace the button or is it time for a new car?

You can replace the knob. Its easy, and will take about 20 minutes. Send Morad an email to see if they have any perf shift knobs on hand. I bought one from him last year about this time.

And one thing after another for you with this car isn't it?

A needle nose pliars, or a small flat head screwdrive for the clip. Then remove the center console cup holder thing and you got it.
