Rear Window problems

99 Passenger Rear Window. The motor works, and if the Window is all of the way down, you can not pull the window up. But if the Window is rolled up, it just falls to the bottom. It almost seems that it's just a clip that is missing, or failing. Does anybody know how the rear window assembly works? Or pictures would be great! Rolled the window down, now it will not go back up!

Re: Rear Window problems

Same as the front. Remove the door panel and do an inspection. In most cases when the windows stays or goes down the Bowden cable at the power window regulator assembly broke or becomes disconnected.

Re: Rear Window problems

Had the same problem. If you can still hear the motor working, or going up and down, its most likely your regulator. From what I understand there's nothing to "pop in", you'll actually have to get a new regulator. You can obviously probably get one from a junkyard, then all you have to do is pop all the pins in the door panel to remove it, don't forget the minor screws around handles and window controls, remove that paper cutout on the inside, and weasel the old one out.
