Shift Kit

Does anyone know if this shift kit would work for a 95 Town Car? Or maybe I should say a 94 Mark 8 b/c that's the trans that's in it.

Re: Shift Kit

Yes, it should work. But 10/10 Crown Vic owners that want better shifts will tell you to go with a J-Mod. It's much easier to do, less invasive, safer, and it's developed by one of the designers of the AODE/4R70W transmission, Jerry Wroblewski.

Re: Shift Kit

Where can I get a kit at? Would buying one from Ebay be a good idea?

Re: Shift Kit

You can use eBay, but I'd try to find one from a Mustang parts supplier. These are the same automatics used in the Mustangs.

But if you go with the J-Mod route, there is no kit to buy. It will end up saving you about $100 and is quicker and easier to do if you follow the instructions. And its safer for the transmission and still provides the same firm shifts. My serpentine belt squeals on the alternator on the 1-2 shift when WOT because it shifts so quick.
