I went to start the truck this morning, and the battery was dead. A major draw int he system. I put in a new battery, and the illuminated shift indicator as well as the battery (insufficient charge or overcharge lamp) was still on. I started the truck, they went out, all looked good on the dash cluster. I shut off the truck, removed the key and the battery and shift indicator was still lit up.... what's up???

Re: Shift indicator and battery indicator stay on..key removed
do any other indicator lights come on with the key turned to run, engine off?
something is feeding these circuits...thinking the best place to check maybe at the ignition switch and ubec. Do you need wiring diagrams? |
