ok im trying to install my b18a, well i got the rear mount on and i got the right bracket on but its like pulling back, and the drivers side mount is off. then i notice the the tranny is hitting on the front mount, the 4th mount thats not used. which i think is way my drivers side is off, and my passenger side mount is pullinb back

so has anyone else run into this problem, or is my swap just weird

When I put in my engine I attached the side mounts first, then the front and rear. If you have no front it should be that much easier.

I've never heard anyone with a B-series using a front mount unless you have an aftermarket crossmember, don't use the front mount.

im not using the front mount, like u know what the engine mount bolts to on the chassis, the chassis mount. well my ls tranny is hitting the front chassis mount which causes the engine to be off so i cant get the rest of the mounts lined up and bolted on. like because the tranny is hitting the front chassis mount, the drivers side engine mount does match up and the passenger side mount is like being pulled back

you have to bend the rear mount area down a bit if i remember correctly, to make it sit right.

i got the rear bracket on because the previous owner like kinda cut it and made the rear bracket adjustable, if u dont know what i mean, think of hte rear bracket now make the hole width long so u could actually slide a bolt back and forth.

well with taht adjustable rear bracket i got the rear bracket on and i got the passenger side mount on, but the mount is twisted with the eninge pulling it toward the back. the drivers side doesnt mount at all.

its because of the front chassis mount, thats why im wondering if everyone else ran into this problem or this is a unique problem

I think you have to get it in the right angle. It was kinda hard for me to get it in right so i kept tryin different angles till it sits right. Also did u bang ur side wall where the alternator is at? U have to bang it so the alternator will clear right in.

cut that bitch off. you have to cut the front mount and put the other mounts in in this order, back , tranny, driver.

I think hes talking about the tranny side mount and how it sticks above where the tranny would be so taking it out is a bitch. You have to put the engine in at an angle. That should work. Or try putting the engine on the ground and using the engine hoist to lift the front of the car up really high and slip the engine in from underneath.

Just maneuver your motor around in the engine bay, eventually everything will line up. Even I had trouble getting all my motor mounts to line up when i dropped my d16a6 back in my car.
