10a Ignition switch fuse blowing
Hello I have a really weird problem with my 96 grand caravan 3.3 L , when I put the gear selector in any position the 10a ignition switch fuse is blow(locate under dash ), can any give me advice on this, thanks a lot and great forum!!!

Fuse #8? This fuse applies power to several components including the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS). This sensor is the signal source for your gear selection indication (PRNDL3) and tells the transmission what gear you've selected. You might try disconnecting the sensor (lower right on tranny???), turn the ign switch in run, shift the gears and see if the fuse still blows. If it doesn't you probably have a bad TRS.
Unfortunately, The TRS is inside the tranny. The pan, filter and valve body have to be removed to gain acdcess. Now that I've rambled on, this only applies to the 4 speed 41te transmission. Is that what you have?

Thaks for response, Yes it's a 4 speed tranny, I disconnect the TRS sensor, turn the igition switch in run then shift the gears and the fuse no blows. thanks

i would start with replaceing your ignition switch.. seems to be the main cause of alot of wierd issues
