Subaru Impreza, 1/24 Fujimi

After a long and bloody fight, I finished this Subaru, which is almost stock out of box. I had only removed all the logos and the rear wing.
In essence, it was already finished some time ago. But it was much worse, then thie version, although this one is far from ideal .
But after the many problems, which I had with it, I'm really happy with the result

looks good, i think if you paint the lug nuts black or silver it would give it a MUCH more realistic effect

Re: Subaru Impreza, 1/24 Fujimi

Hi.
This kit has a really good overall fitment and it's easy to build. Almost no molding lines and a really detailed suspension.
As you wrote, the wheels are really small, they don't look like 17", but more like 15" and the shocks are bit to long, you've need to cut them and lower the suspension. If you're going to use som other wheels, you need to drill a bigger hole in to the breake discs, otherwise, they won't fit. This is why I haven't used other wheels, because I had the whole car build and wanted to use som Fujimi 18" wheels, but I didn't get them there.
Also the fitting of the chassis into the body is a bit complicated, but with a little of pattience, you will get it there.

Re: Subaru Impreza, 1/24 Fujimi

the rim size might be off just a tad bit, but i dont think the ride height is off by too much. but then again, when you get into scale modeling even 1/16" of an inch makes a huge difference. but as i said before, a bit more realistic wheels and maybe a licens plate would really make it much more realistic, especially for pictures!
