99 5.3 swap to 05 5.3 will it work?
my 99 silverado with 5.3 is shot so i want to know if a 05 5.3 will fit and what will i have to change to put it in ?
my local salvage say it 99 only but have been told up to 04 will work with minor changes .so what differant with the 05 than the 04 thanks

its the silverado 1st year and it has a 5.3 vin t eighth digit

I think it will work but you will have to prob change over the intake b/c the 05 is prob fly by wire. Just make sure its not a DOD motor either.
