C-West R34 colour?

Slightly OT

Does anyone know for certain what colour the C-West R34 Demo car is? I'm thinking it may be Nissan Lightning Yellow, but it looks a little darker than that??????

Does'nt C-west always paint their cars silver??? That looks much darker than the yellows Tamiya provides, you can probably get that color with a paint-brush but I doubt you'll get that shade with a can.

I think the closest to that paint in Tamiya is Camel Yellow.

Close but no cigar. :smoker2:

I've used camel yellow, it's too dark.

If your reffering to Tamiya paints IMO chrome yellow is the closest.

If your reffering to more paints chrome yellow is almost there but I think there could be closer ones. That yellow seems to be a tad lighter than chome yellow.

Anyways, I'm painting my C-west/nismo skyline with chrome yellow.

compare

The C-West skylines paint job looks like Pastel Yellow, its not bright, but not too light, it like a Pastel or Cream Yellow.

You've seen mine in my R34 in my SAS 350Z post. All I've done so far is fix up some imperfections. almost ready for painting.

I'm working on the SAS 350Z, expect to get update soon.

Sorry for getting off topic, just wanted to answer shorty's ques.

Don't know for certain, but maybe you could source some "Blaze yellow" Subaru paint..

i like the idea of the "usual" silver C-West car. but if you've already done your Nismo one silver, i can understand if you would want a change.

The only 2 yellows i've ever used is Sun yellow and Fire yellow.. The sun yellow is almost that color, but it would need a gloss coat over it, its almost a flat yellow...if thats possible.

Come on, guys! He's not talking about hobby paints, he's talking about a colour match from the real Nissan colour range. i'm sorry I can't help you on this one, Chris, I have no idea

Ah, at last, someone on my wavelength!

Yes, appreciate the suggestions guys, but i'm hoping someone can tell me what the actual colour is so i can have it mixed. I thought that maybe it could have been featured in a mag at some time and said so in there.
