nide a trasmission
hi i am from puerto rico i have a 2000 ford windstar i just bought it las week it hace a bad trasmission i nide a good manual so i can repair the trasmission please i nide help????????????

In your case, I would recommend a subscriptiong to www.AlldataDIY.com
I includes all the Technical Service Bulletins (TSB). One thing I would recommend you look into is the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) also called Neutral Safety Switch. They are a KNOWN common failure...... The TRS is mounted on TOP of the transmission case, it is what the cable from the gear select connects to. Another thing that can look like a internal transmission problem is the Vehicle Speed Sensor, located on the back side of the transmission......kind of above the catalytic converter that is below the transmission. Very hard to get to, but doable from under the vehicle......by feel. Of course, don't forget to check the obvious......transmission fluid level.

Also, Motorcraft has online Ford manuals that you can subscribe to. It's something like $20 for a month of access.
