180 hp while being reliable? I wouldn't go the Civic route.

Talons work fine when not overboosted too. The second gear on their transmissions only keeps going because people put crazy boost on it.

what do you mean when you say boost? does it mean that they add extra shit to the car or do they kick the shit out of the car by going to the max limit of the second gear speed? until the car can handle the speed and dies?

uhm engine swap! helllloooooo....and you dont even have to go DOHC to get 180. you can get a SOHC d16 there with some turbo. or choose from a b16 or b18 with some intake/exhaust work.

and hondas not reliable! JESUS! What rock are you under!? Come out in the sun, its warm out here! My 92 Honda VX has 236 Thousand + miles on it! All I do is change the oil!

not to mention the aftermarket support for tuning and tweeking your honda! talons dont come close (I know Ive been helping my buddy with his). and mustangs, well, mustangs...(being kind) too heavy, poor handling, expensive, and aftermarket products, while they are plentiful, are a pain, are expensive, and cannot promise the same reliability after install that Honda can.

whew...dont know what happened to me...i hear an inference that Hondas suck and I just see red...sorry

I don't think Hondas suck. I just think that to get 180hp out of a stock Civic (barring anything short of a JDM B18C transplant) you'll need forced induction. And Hondas generally don't respond well on the reliability front to forced induction.

Don't accuse me of not knowing my shit too

And if you buy a car solely to do an engine swap, why not just buy the car the engine was swapped out of???

I find GS-R's are too expensive for what you get because of their popular demand.
