I don't know, I never really liked the idea of racing an SUV, sure you can go straight line, but when it goes to corners, you'll probably need to be slow cause the car is so high and it'd rollover quite easily.. The weight also is a factor..

In all honestly I don't think you should go about making a 4-door blazer some crazy sleeper/drag truck. What I'm doing with my S-10, is simply just making it have some power, but not going crazy thinking it's some drag racing vehicle. Give it a 350 V8, or a supercharger, or whatever you like. I say go for it, make it faster, but don't go excessive. There just ain't much point to it.

Swapping in a V8 is a bit too much of a hassle. Yeah its cool, but the price of buying the conversion parts and the motor and all the electronics for it. So time consuming.

Why not just work with what you've got?

Why not just supercharge the Vortec V6?? You may not know this but the 4.3l V6 shares the same Bore and stroke as a 5.7l V8 (350) just minus 2 cylinders. That means pistons, and rods can be used... as well as valve train components to make better power. And you can have Kustom cams ground if you want to get.. well Kustom. Your V6 has potiential, you've just got to know how to access it.

Yeah I think they do make a few supercharges for the older 4.3L, check around online you could probably find something out there that could give you a good 240-250 hp.

Who cares? That has absolutely nothing to do with what everyone was just talking about. Did you mean to post this in another thread?

Why is every one hating on his idea? I think if he wants a drag racing an SUV let him. Go for it I think it would be cool to see a blazer haul ass like that and its ORIGINAL!

Well lets take a looksy here...

1995 Blazer LT
4.3l Vortec V6
200hp @ 4500rpm
260tq @ 3600rpm
3700lbs < Pretty Light for an SUV

A supercharger under low boost on you're stock motor will make 240hp easy I'd say.

http://www.truckperformance.com
This site seems to have some products that may fit your application.

http://www.s10xtreme.com/modifications/
Yeah, I know your Blazer isn't an Extreme but they do share the same motor and drive train. So its parts will work for you.

hm

They are missing a couple important websites on that s10xtreme.com. Spintech for one has shown to make one of the better mufflers for the S-10.

Did the 95 Blazer LT model actually come with 200 hp? I thought the strongest 4.3L so far is the S-10 SS's engine.

Ok wait whats an X5, is that BMW's suv? I guess that makes more sense I thought you were talking about some car of theirs.
