Cap and Rotor 96 1500
my truck wont start, checked for spark and Im not getting any. goin to replace cap and rotor. Ive never done this before just wondering if you guys have any tips to help me?

Buy quality parts,mark the wires start at No.1 and transfer one at a time.
Use a screwdriver and push down and turn for the lugs. Make sure all four are set properly. |

Watch where plug wires go and put them back right. And be careful with screw ears on dist housing. For no spark check for spark out of coil first. If no spark there cap and rotor is not going to fix problem.

Stick a spark tester in the end of coil and crank engine and watch for good hot blue spark jump.

New cap and rotor would be good to do anyway. But coil and potentailly the module are probally the issue. I think those distributors still have a "module"...?
