stiff accelerate
94 chevy caprice...lt1 motor....i have stiff accelerate...i got a new accelerate cable...but itz still stiff...help me out whats da problem???

Does the throttle hang up (stick) at all?

If not then with the cable off remove the air inlet ducting and using throttle body cleaner [NOT CARB CLEANER] , and using a tooth brush , give the throttle body / plate a good cleaning ..do this when cold...do not use too much cleaner...allow to dry before starting...keep throttle plate open so excess cleaner will evaporate faster.. throttle body needs cleaning about 20,ooomi...usually you get sticking .. |
