it does really matter...... its just depends what cars you like! like if u like Hot rods...than u would tend to build those cars...and if u like Drift Machines than u would tend to build those style of cars

i like Japanese and European cars.... i like Japanese cars for a long long time and in the past few years i started a new liking for Euro cars....

now all i wish is for TAMIYA to make a MK4 JETTA!!!! ....and give it a OETTIGNER body-kit....

If you mean European Asian or American Manufacturers, I would say Asian manufacturers because that includes Japanese, home to Tamiya, Fujimi, and Hasegawa, all of which are good model companies. Their kits have good part fits and can be pretty detailed.

American model manufacturers (Revell, AMT) make primarily American cars with a few imports thrown in (Revell makes the Integra Type R, the Civic tuners, the Datsun and 510, to name a few). They are detailed kits but do not go together as well as a Tamiya kit.

I don't have much experience with European manufacturers, sorry.

its not what car looks better, it the company that makes the kit that makes it more detailed, u cant realy pick betwen a asian ccar and a european car, because the detail can be awsome in both if done by a good company such as tamiya

Japanese model makers make Japanese cars AND American cars, American car makers make American AND Japanese, so theres no " American/Japanese model cars are better" it depends on which company makes the model kit. In my opinion the list goes like this...

1. Tamiya
2. Revell
3. Fujimi
4. AMT

I hav'nt built any Aoshima cars or Hasegawa cars so I don't know how they rank up there with these 3. Someone make a better list, please

I have done one Aoshima kit, Veilside Mazda RX7 even though the build instructions are completely in Japanese it was an easy build. Only the fitting of the veilside bodykit toke some work, but it was easy. AMT has some ncie cars with nice engines but their fitting was bad. Tamiya is the one that fits almost always perfect, but most of the time they don't have engines. Now I'm building an old kit from Revell/Monogram. Some parts don't fit that great, but the detail in the engine make up for the lack of fitting. Never done Fujimi or Europe Revell kits. But that makes sence, i'm only a beginner with 4,5 models completed... Got a Europe Revell kit on the to do list though.. now only if I had the time...

i would say Asian manufacturers, cause they produce great quality kits and attention to details are best IMO. wish i could say the same with some fujimi kits.

rankings...

1. Tamiya (made in Japan & Philippines)
2. Aoshima
3. Hasegawa
4. Fujimi
