Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
Got notice this evening from Hobby Search that it's in stock and ready to ship! I'm getting it via SAL, so hopefully people will be posting photos of their kits before mine arrives in the 2-3 weeks it usually takes. Can't wait

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
from the instruction, it doesn't look like they include window mask, and the interior is a pain to mask

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
Window mask isn't a huge deal, I use a chisel-tip Sharpie with great results. The interior looks kind of lame
. Simplified door panels, and seat bottoms molded to the tub...glad I got the kit for 20% off...and I'm sure the Revell kit will have much more detail whenever it hits (supposedly June...).

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
i know it wasn't huge deal, but it sucks when the cheaper nissan gt-r includes window mask and metal transfer but 458 italia which is 1000yen much expensive without?
the proportion however does looks good |

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
I think it was only a week from notice of shipment to arrival of my DBS models from HobbySearch via SAL. RE: 458 - molded in seat bottoms and door panels...a joy to paint...

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
I'm almost certain there will be the DX version with PE, so I'll wait. (Besides, Tamiya's DBS just arrived today.
)As for the 458's seat, how about... 1. Use a PE saw and remove the seat bottom. 2. Fill the opening on the floor with a sheet of styrene and cover the entire floor with a masking tape (or some kind of flocking material). 3. Paint the parts. 4. Glue the finished seats to the floor. Excluding the time for painting, I'd say the modification job itself can be done in less than 30 minutes for both seats. |

This is one of the reasons why I have learned to wait to see what else comes out. It never fails, I buy a kit and build it, then better versions and/or detail items come out (GT-R). Plus I get to see how others build, mod and detail theirs. Just my ![]() Build on!

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
I thought after what fujimi had done with there GT-R kit that this one would be very nice but it looks abit disapointing. I mean the body looks good but the engine and the interior not so good, im glad i didnt preorder it now. I think the DBS will get my $$ now. :-)

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 458 is ready to ship!
Body molded in white, wheels in Silver, Interior, chassis, engine & everything else in some god awful shade of brown. That would make for one ugly model if you didnt paint it, which I'm sure a lot of kids will. Cant wait to see some WIPs
