Tranny and differential share fluid?
Does the transmission and the differential share fluid on a 2000 V6 automatic Camry?
I got my transmission fluid changed over the weekend and when I asked about changing the differential fluid, the mechanic said that they share the same fluid and I only have to change 1 of them. |

Re: Tranny and differential share fluid?
I believe it does. It's the 4 cylinder models where they are separate. If you want you can double check the generation 4 factory service manual stickied at the top of this forum's home page.

Re: Tranny and differential share fluid?
One way you can tell is if there is no fill or drain plug in the differential, then the answer is obvious.
