1972 Thunderbird spark plug gap

Trying to get the spark plug gap for a 1972 Thunderbird, 460ci.

I think it's .50 but I'm not sure.

For some reason none of my books state it. Everything but...

The idiot at A.A. said it was .35 but AIN'T NO WAY a 460 is .35.

Thanks all.

Re: 1972 Thunderbird spark plug gap

Cars back then didn't have HEI so in fact the 460 plug gap is 0.034" (BRF-42), 0.17" Points, 26-30 for Dwell and timing at 10DBTDC unless it's a California car. Then it's 6 DBTDC. You can now apologize for calling the guy at A.A. an idiot!
