2004 pacifica starter

Gotta replace the starter on a v6 model... Any words of incouragement

if you still need this here you go. You have to loosen the three bolts from the starter and I believe 3 bolts from the mount bracket, one of which attaches a clip to the ac pipe. Also you have to loosen the from engine mount and then loosen the mount from the mount bracket which separates them and then you are able to move them to the side. Then you can move the starter out. Also you may want to loosen the rear mount a little to have some play. Dont forget you will have to jack the engine up a little when you loosen and remove the mount. That's the gist of it. Hope this helps if you still have to remove it.

Ps. I had some starting problems. Replaced the battery and was told the starter was going bad. Did the starter this past weekend and still have the same problem. Goodluck.

That is great...! i really appreciate the info. I'm sure this is the starter... it actually sounds like the bendix is out. real bad screeching when it tries to engage.
