EVO Magazine's latest issue

I hope to scan in some pics - unless others care to do so if they have it already - of the latest EVO magazine. Apparently, it has the following

Nice one Greg. Hopefully it'll be in the news stores in Amsterdam this weekend.

Cheers,

Holy crap. Now I can't wait for the July issue to come out. Will it have any F1 LM content?

Re: EVO Magazines latest issue

I really hope that shot of #01R becomes a wallpaper on EVO's website - it's beautiful! Same with the shot of #068 coming down the straight at Watkins Glen. Maybe we will get lucky and they'll have expanded content on their website too.

Favorite quote so far after reading most of the pages:

"For me you shouldn't buy an F1 if you are not going to use it properly. This 1997 car had only done just over 2000 miles when I got it - a miserable total over 13 years. They were designed to be driven and not to be owned purely for speculation." - Dan Watkins

Most disappointing inaccuracy in the text so far - in the section on the Workshop where the years for the F1 GTR variants are identified as '94, '95 & '96. They do get it right later on when captioning a small photo on page 97 in the section on #01R.

Speaking of that section - the story relayed by Graham Humphrys about troubles with #01R in the lead up to Le Mans is one I have never seen told. What a great piece of history - making their triumph all the more impressive!

Re: EVO Magazine's latest issue

Amazing!! Thanks for that microsup! EVO it takes a few months for the magazine to get down here in NZ.
The EVO boys really have had some brilliant articles over the years.

Re: EVO Magazine's latest issue

Can I just say I really enjoy some of the things you do in your spare time.

Thank you once again for sharing - just makes me want to buy the magazine even more. I'll have ants in my pants for the next few weeks while those of us in the USA wait for them to finally appear on the newsstand.

Re: EVO Magazine's latest issue

microsup

Thankyou so much, for going to all that effort to show us the F1 content from this most excellent issue of EVO.

looks like this issue will be a sell out for them, top marks must go to everbody involved in putting these articles together

Its like a mini Driving Ambition Vol2 . Now there,s a thought, its about time for an extension to the first edition.

Re: EVO Magazine's latest issue

Thanks for the headsup hurst, and champion effort by microsup for the scans.

EVO is my favourite car mag, (so much better then the local mags and TG, Car etc in my opinion), but this is the icing on the cake-When I first saw the thread title I thought maybe there's a small writeup like they did on the converted GTR that was for sale a while back but this-this is just brilliant. Looking forward to sitting down somewhere nice and quiet with a few cold ones to soak this up.
