ABS light

Was wondering if anyone else has this problem with their ABS/Traction off light. The past 2 years my ABS/Traction off light will stay on every day from May til around Oct. pretty much spring & summer months. Come fall & winter it turns off & won't see it on unless i loose traction in the snow. It hasn't been on for 7 months & now it's been on for 5 straight days.

Re: ABS light

I've never heard of it being that cut and dried. It sounds like the wheel speed sensors in the hub are borderline bad, and since resistance increases with heat, the warmer temps are pushing it out of range. Acceptible resistance for temps between approx 40-85 degrees F is 900-1300 ohms. Anything outside that can and most likely will trip the ABS and Trac-Off lights.
