Wire set question

I just finished the dexterity exercise of changing the plugs and wires on a 97 ex sport SOHC. I noticed the plug wires the shop gave me were a little longer, maybe an inch per wire, but it didn't flag me that they might not be the right ones. Turns out he gave me a wire set for the OHV (X vin, not E.) I did a test start and everything seems fine, any need for concern? The extra length doesn't appear to be an interference problem.

Thanks for helping this parasite again.

Re: Wire set question

The slight extra length shouldn't be an issue as long as you have them routed correctly and they still don't interfere with anything. It seems the aftermarket wires are often a bit longer than the OEM wires, you might actually find that these wrong wires fit better than they would have if they were for the correct application.... You'd also possibly find that the wires are the same part number regardless of application which engine you ordered them for.

Re: Wire set question

Thanks again Rod for chiming in. I did check the models and they were usually off by just the last digit. I won't lose any sleep over this tonight then.

Thanks.
