Cylinder heads
Someone in my family recently busted their 2000 Accent timing belt. In trying to locate a used replacement head, if the valves are bent (probably are) it seems that up to 99 is incompatible with 2000 and newer. Anyone know what the difference is? I know where there is a 99 in a pick and pull yard but no 2000's.

Re: Cylinder heads
I wouldn't waste your time here or hold your breathe for an answer. I have two unanswered threads and no one seems to have the gumption to give me an intelligent answer. Lots of viewers though
![]() I do believe they might have bent valves though, judging by some of the threads I've searched here. I'm not sure about using a different year head on yours. |

Re: Cylinder heads
Yeah, I confirmed bent valves on #3 cylinder. All I know is that up to 99 is different than 2000+. It could be something easy, like, sensor location or something. Just wish I could find out for sure.
