mb quart comp. cutting off

6.5 mb quart component cutting off when i crank up the volume, im sure it's some kind of protection from the cross overs or so....but Protection from what? amp too strong? or something wrong with the installaiton? they are running off a hifonics txi6408

Also what do you guys think about the Alphasonik psw912? some one has it on sale for $70 used...and im looking into it.

normally, the protection is in the amp. Probably one of the speakers is partially blown.

yeah, im gonna have to check if the amp is getting on protection mode...i was trying to avoid having to unbolt my backseat again to reach the amp lol...
