95 sebring ruff ride

I bought a 95 Sebring and the last owner changed the motor to a 98 2.5l the car runs good for awhile but the check engine light comes on and the SRS light and a light that looks like a radiator. The car still runs good but lately when I drive it the car jumps and then the gears don't change and it stays that way no matter how fast I go it will not shift out of that gear o'yeah it is a automatic. But if I stop and turn the car off for 10 seconds and start it back up it starts acting right and runs good then it does it again and gets stuck in the gear again
