Intermiten A/C
A/C compressor engages when it wants to. Re-curclate air vent door won't stay closed. Had it fixed at dealer years ago. Some kind of head control ? Any help ?

Re: Intermiten A/C
Let me guess-- the green light on the a/c button also goes on and off with the compressor on its own---if so then you have the classic "hardened grease on the blower motor control syndrome"
You see the grease turns hard like bad earwax on the master on/off surface that is part off the blower motor speed control switch-- the fix is to pull out the control head and remove the blower control switch- then you'll see the two wiper brushes that need to be bent down a little and the wiper surface needs a good cleaning-- use a pencil eraser works best-- then put it all back together with no grease and it works great. New control head will fix it too- if you want to spend $105 for it-- that's what a stealership would do... Hope this helps-- I've fixed a couple dozen in my life....
