Fuel pump issue...

92 with 4 cyl and auto trans.

This is my wife's auto cross car. Ran good in her heat and she made the feature. During the feature the car just died. After inspection it turns out the fuel pump quit working. So I put a new one in and still nothing. I can't even get power to the fuel pump. Is there a sensor or relay that gives the fuel pump power?? Car fires with starting fluid.....

Re: Fuel pump issue...

Yes, you have a fuel pump relay on the firewall...nut sure which it is on your car though. On our old 91 it went bad in 2005, but I had a GM service manual to guide me...maybe you can get a haynes manual or locate the exact information here from someone else. Ouras would start then stall, fuel pressure would be 40lbs, then nothing. Replaced it, all was well.
