drivers power window does not work

its a 94 2 door sport. i have replaced the switch for the drivers door. the fuzes are good. however when i replaced the switch i heard a clicking noise. i located a black solid state box in the door. it clicks. is this the problem.

I can't think of any solid state box that would be in the door of your '94 Sport. Are you sure it's a solid state box? Have you checked for voltage to the power window motor when you activate the switch? Might you be referring to the power window motor as clicking? I'm not sure about the '94, but there are rebuilt parts available for the power window motors that include the little rubber "wheels" which wear out over time.
