I agree, high 15's is way to optimistic for a stock LS, even for a stock GSR. Those times you have are actually pretty good for an LS. In a stock one you would be lucky to get 16's, they are slow - I would know - I have a 2000 LS. But I'm loooking at either turboing or trading in for an RSX type S.

I had a 94 LS and with I/H/E only, I ran mid 15's I bet. I martked a 1/4 mile off on the road, wiht the finish line being a telephone pole, and when I passed the pole I was just ready to shift to 4th, which was 91mph. Now I know that isnt the most accurate way to do it, but isnt 90mph when you cross the line somewhere in the mid 15's?

could the older cars be faster at all because of the OBD1 and not OBD2, like the cars ECU monitors more crap so there is more readings that could affect the way the ECU runs the engine?
